Photography has been a form of artwork that has captivated my attention since I was a young girl. I remember begging my parents to always buy disposable cameras for me so that I could go out and capture the world as I saw it.
I use photography as a form of expressing myself emotionally. I envision portraits as poetry, making sure the person in front of the camera is embodying a certain emotion or persona that is tied in with the style of clothing and location’s background. I have always loved working with Film due to the effects and feels it gives an image. It also makes it extra special knowing that I have a connection with my grandpa, who was also a photographer back in his day.
I want to extend the gift of remembrance to others and thus decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion as a photographer! It makes me so stoked to know that people have a piece of my artwork with them in their homes or work space. As the old saying goes, “If it’s both terrifying and amazing then you should pursue it,” and that is exactly what I am about to do. I am ready to showcase my work throughout all these years. I also hope my photos will inspire others and give those in front of the camera a sense of their true raw selves. Please follow along as I embark on this new exciting journey!
